My calling journey
Renee Ruud is a dynamic and passionate square dance caller and round dance cuer, bringing energy and joy to dance floors for over 15 years. Having honed her skills under the mentorship of the renowned Les Seeley, Renee's calling style is a delightful blend of tradition and innovation. Her journey in the world of square dance has been one of dedication and continuous learning.
After a brief hiatus during the Covid pandemic, Renee rekindled her passion for calling by training with the esteemed international square dance caller, Daryl Clendenin. This experience has enriched her understanding and deepened her love for the craft, inspiring her to bring a fresh perspective to her performances.
Renee is also exploring the exciting world of round dance cuing, finding immense fun and satisfaction in mastering this complementary art form. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she loves sharing the joy of dance with both new and experienced dancers.
